Backup!

Backup!

I know this is kind of a boring subject, but it is so important!

Just last night I helped my cousin who was having problems with his laptop and it turns out his hard drive is dead!

He doesn’t have any backups, and all of his information is gone, unless he wants to go through an expensive data recovery process of a $500 minimum up to $3,000.

Back up can be really, really, easy especially if you have a Mac because all you have to do is:

  1. Run down to Walmart and grab an external hard drive and plug it in.
  2. Your Mac will ask if you want to use it for Time Machine backup you say “Yes” and it starts backing up.

It’s that easy!

If you have a laptop you can hook up a hard drive to your network so you can back up wirelessly and it will back up every time you come home and connect to the network.
